The season of snowy paw prints is sweeping this idyllic country village, and a little cat is about face a big change.

There’s a village, cradled in the arms of a forest clothed in winter white, where the North Wind dances a Christmas waltz with the people
— Let it Snow, Lauren Everdell

This gorgeously illustrated gift book, the perfect size to sneak into a Christmas stocking, is a beautiful way to share a moment of seasonal joy with loved ones this year.

Not only is it inspired by one of Me&McQ’s most popular Christmas cards we also made it the same size, so it couldn’t be easier to pop in the post or slip through a letterbox.

Beautifully illustrated by Reuben McHugh, this stunning picture book is written by Lauren Everdell, and printed in the UK.

PRODUCT DETAILS

These books were first to be the gift of a shared moment. And with that in mind we at Ubiquitous Books—and our friends at Me&McQ—think they shine best when read and enjoyed together with a child.

That being said, the content and reading age are suitable for ages 3-5. And our books are printed on 170gsm paper rather than board, so they may not be hardy enough for unsupervised younger readers.

We also hope that adults can enjoy the stories, and the high quality of Reuben’s illustration (and need not have the excuse of sharing it with the young readers in their life to do so!)

About the creators

Reuben McHugh

lives in West Yorkshire, UK. He studied Art and Design at Bradford College and Lincoln College for 4 years. After leaving college in 1989 he took a job in a small advertising agency. Later he worked at a large greetings card company where his passion for creativity and illustration really grew. A few years later, while looking for an even bigger challenge, he wrote to Paper D’Art and quickly became the McQ in their Me&McQ brand.

Lauren Everdell

lives in Gloucestershire, UK. She studied English Literature at Oxford University, before a Master’s degree at Columbia University in New York. Her fiction has appeared in Medusa Tales, Hearth & Coffin, and Neon among others, as well as in several anthologies. When not writing, she’s reading, reviewing, baking, or painting furniture but either way is rarely without Fable, her chocolate Labrador.
